THE
LABYRINTH & CLEW OF THREAD: KOTEEN.ORG
as the tale is told, Poseidon sends this white bull as
present to king Minos to sacrifice, but Minos didn’t do it; so his wife
Pasiphae got pregnant with the bull? Right! and gave birth to half man (mino),
half bull(taur) i.e. the Minotaur. Daedalus, master architect, created the labyrinth
for the minotaur to live in, occasionally got fed his favorites (7 boys &
7 maids sent as tribute from Athens). Theseus says he’ll go and slay the
beast to free Athens, and has clandestine affair with Minos’ daughter
Ariadne, who gives her lover a clew of thread to find his way back out of labyrinth,
post-slaying of her half-bro, the Minotaur.
hence we chose the labyrinth as template for this web-site.
